Stutzmann, who has at least one catch in 24 straight games, missed the first three contests of the season after suffering an injury in a car accident. … The Spartans come in on a three-game losing streak — each defeat was by at least 19 points — and their only win of the season came in the opener against Sacramento State of the Football Championship Subdivision. … San Jose State quarterback David Fales ranks 11th nationally averaging 298.5 yards per game, and linebacker Kevin Smith leads the nation in tackles per game at 17.8. … Spartans kicker Austin Lopez had made a record-tying 23 field goals in a row to start his career before missing a second-quarter try last Saturday in a 40-12 loss at Utah State.
